B has lately discovered his interest in blizzards (the DQ treat, no the snow storms). Every once in a while he will ask if he can have one. Many times we will tell him yes, if we are going to be out.
Saturday morning, not long after I have finished the morning walking the dogs, B asks if we can go to "that place that sells blizzards." I tell him that we can, but not right now. We have a soccer game and some other things to take care of. He says okay.
After the soccer game and the grocery shopping we stop by DQ. B and J get blizzards and talk Q into trying one. For the entire drive home, the boys (all three of them) tried to convince me to have a taste of the blizzards. "It's not a fast if there isn't temptation," says my loving husband with a smile on his face.
I didn't give in, but it was funny and we all had a good time.
Sunday was day light savings, meaning that my day shifted by an hour. Eating schedules take on a whole new meaning and sunset was an hour later than it had been. It was difficult for my stomach to be okay with the fact that we had passed 6:45 on the clock and was waiting until 7:45 to eat. However, that was not the "not so much" of the weekend.
N, J's brother-in-law, went back into the hospital. And we are all in a holding pattern. Waiting. Hoping.
Waiting sucks.
